Zest_Extension_SPI

Overview

The Zest_Extension_SPI is an electronics development board for 6TRON open source platform, used to expand the SPI bus.

An 8-bit I2C I/O expander provides additional control capability to the board. Its address includes 3 user-programmables bits.

The board is particularly useful to control remote sensors and actuators communicating through the SPI interface

8 x 6 or 7-pin headers, facilitate the interconnection to the external boards. Eeach provides the following signals:

  • the common SPI bus signals (MOSI, MISO, SCK)
  • a dedicated chip select signal (NSS)
  • the power supply (GND and +3.3V)
  • a common digital pin OE (optional)
