Zest_Sensor_4-20mA

Overview

The Zest_Sensor_4-20mA is an electronics development board for 6TRON open source platform built around the ADS131A04 from Texas Instruments.

The ADS131A04 specifications include:

  • Four-channel, simultaneously sampling analog-to-digital converter

  • Delta-Sigma (ΔΣ) converter topology

  • 24-bit resolution (~18-bit resolution @ 2.5kHz)

  • Data rate up to 125kHz

  • Internal or external reference and oscillator

  • Differential or pseudo-differential inputs

On-board 4.5V precision reference and 25.000MHz TCXO oscillator.

Pseudo-differential converter input voltage range: 0-4.5V

12 to 48V supply voltage for the sensors through 6TRON Bus and I/O connectors

Selectable input conditioning for current mode (4-20mA) or voltage (0-5V or 0-10V) sensor interface

The Zest_Sensor_4-20mA offers 6TRON users an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) for data acquisition, instrumentation, measurement applications.
