Zest_Interface_RS485

Overview

The Zest_Interface_RS485 is an electronics development board for 6TRON open source platform based on SN65HVD30 transceiver from Texas Instruments.

The SN65HVD30 is a 3-state differential line drivers and differential-input line receivers. It consists of a separate driver and receiver sections, which are always active upon powering the device. Driver section is used to drive the RS422/485 bus with the signal received on the UART RX line labeled as D on the IC, while the receiver section returns data from the bus back to the MCU via the UART TX line, labeled as R on the IC in the schematics.

The Zest_Interface_RS485 offers 6TRON users a RS485 interface to devices, systems and sensors communicating with low power over a long distance.
