Z_ECG
Overview
The Z_ECG is an electronics development board for 6TRON open source platform built around Analog Devices optimized analog front-end (AFE) AD8232 and Nordic Semiconductor nRF52832 RF SoC.
The electrocardiogram signal is collected through a standard ECG belt connected to the case. The signal is amplified and filtered by the AD8232 before being digitized by the 12-Bit ADC integrated in the microcontroller. An integrated electrode detection circuit permits to alert the user of electrode disconnection.
The nRF52832 SoC is a 32-bit ARM Cortex M4 CPU with up to 512kB Flash and 64kB RAM memory and a 2.4GHz RF transceiver. The SoC is multiprotocol capable and supports Bluetooth Low Energy. The board includes a battery charger with a micro USB-B header, a 300mA Lithium-Polymer rechargeable battery and a fuel gauge for the monitoring of the cell state-of-charge. External RAM is also available to permit the implementation of advanced signal processing algorithms. An accelerometer can provide information on the activity of the person carrying the object.
The Z_ECG board offers 6TRON users an ECG Object able to collect, monitor and transmit the Electrocardiogram signal (ECG) through a BLE Link at regular time intervals with a very low power
