Z_Environment

Overview

The Z_Environment is an electronics development board for 6TRON open-source platform based on STM32L496RG microcontroller from ST Microelectronics.

The STM32L496RG is an Arm Cortex M4 32-bit RISC core operating at a frequency of up to 80MHz. The MCU controls the system and interfaces the user through a 6LoWPAN RF link. The board includes Bosch BME280 environment sensor that measures hygrometry, temperature and pressure.

The board uses the ATZB-RF-233-1-C RF module from Microchip with a built-in RF Front End Module (FEM) that has an integrated power amplifier and a low-noise amplifier. The RF module has its own 2.4GHz chip antenna and an MS-147 RF connector for an external antenna. A set of 10 white LEDs, independently controlled, is available to the user. An USB link is used for the powering and for programming the microcontroller.

The Z_Environment board offers 6TRON users an Environment Object able to measure various environment parameters (hygrometry, temperature, pressure) and transmit data through a 6LoWPAN link at regular intervals with a very low power consumption.
